What is a Free Pet Assessment?
A free pet assessment is a structured, no-obligation evaluation of your dog’s behaviour, socialisation skills, and comfort in our environment. It gives us a chance to observe how your dog interacts with other dogs, how they respond to new surroundings, and their overall energy levels. The assessment typically lasts between 45 minutes to an hour, during which our trained team of professionals will make sure your pet is happy and safe.
What Does the Assessment Include?
Playtime & Socialisation: We introduce your dog to other pets in a controlled, monitored setting to observe how they interact. Are they shy at first but warm up later? Do they prefer one-on-one play or group activities? These insights help us understand your pet’s personality.
Behavioural Observations: Our staff pays attention to your pet’s behaviour in a new environment. Are they anxious? Confident? Excited? We also look at how they behave during rest or quiet time to ensure they’re comfortable in all aspects of daycare.
Energy Levels: Is your pet full of energy or more laid-back? This helps us plan their days at daycare, ensuring they get the right mix of play and rest based on their energy.
A Personalised Report: After the assessment, you’ll receive a personalised report detailing our observations and recommendations for your dog. This report covers their social skills, comfort levels, and energy, giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands.
Certificate of Completion: To celebrate their successful assessment, your pet will receive a Certificate of Completion, officially welcoming them to the 4 Paws family!
