Course Details Day By Day

Day 1: Initial Orientation & One-on-One Play

  • Objective: Ease the dog into the daycare environment without overwhelming them.

  • Activities: Dogs are introduced to a calm, well-socialized “mentor” dog in a low- stimulation setting. This one-on-one session builds initial confidence and allows the dog to explore at their own pace.

Day 2: Gradual Group Integration

  • Objective: Introduce the dog to small, carefully selected playgroups that match their temperament and energy level.

  • Activities: Handlers supervise play in groups that are suited to the dog’s personality. Positive reinforcement is used to encourage respectful play and ensure the dog feels comfortable as they meet more daycare friends.

Day 3: Structured Socialisation Exercises

  • Objective: Teach the dog to recognize and respond to social cues, promoting positive interactions.

  • Activities: Dogs participate in exercises like “play pauses” and gentle redirection to practice appropriate social behaviours. These sessions help dogs learn boundaries, share space, and engage in respectful play.

Day 4: Calm & Quiet Time Training

  • Objective: Introduce rest periods and calm behaviour after playtime, helping the dog associate daycare with a balanced routine.

  • Activities: Dogs are guided to cozy rest areas where handlers encourage relaxation through gentle petting and verbal reassurance. This helps dogs understand that daycare includes both active and quiet moments.

Day 5: Confidence-Building Exercises and Parent Review

  • Objective: Strengthen the dog’s confidence in new spaces and prepare them for regular daycare sessions.

  • Activities: Dogs are introduced to daycare equipment and various play spaces to build their comfort and curiosity. At the end of the day, pet parents receive a comprehensive review of their dog’s progress, achievements, and recommendations for ongoing socialization.
